Turn Back the Hands of Father Time

The discovery of “Superfoods”

The quest to stay young has eluded man since the beginning of time. In recent years, the discovery of “Superfoods” and the information about free radical damage has made antioxidants a hot topic and one that many people particularly women cannot get enough of. From creams to powders to juices and supplements, antioxidants are everywhere but what forms are the best and where do you find them?

Our bodies are bombarded on a daily basis with free radicals from toxic skincare products, chemicals in our drinking water, environmental pollution, chemicals on and in our foods, prescription drugs, electromagnetic fields, stress, strenuous exercise and believe it or not, just breathing causes more of these unstable electrons. Free radicals are the scavengers in our bodies and all around us that seek to find their missing electron. They rob from many different protein structures in our bodies such as cell membranes and DNA all the while leaving oxidative havoc behind in their path. This encounter causes destruction and cell damage that overtime as damage surmounts, disease and cancer will result. Antioxidants however freely give up their electron without becoming free radicals themselves so that is why they are so crucial to our survival. At the rate free radicals are progressing today, our bodies need additional help to overcome this on slot of aging and oxidizing.

Hippocrates said it best, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Unfortunately in today’s society, not all food is good food and we definitely do not get enough of the good food on a daily basis! There is a plethora of antioxidants in fresh picked, raw organic foods and eating a rainbow of colors allows your body to be proactive against the fight of free radicals.

Consider adding these to your meal plate today!

What about all the new drinks on the market and fancy “superfood” juices that claim they have encapsulated the fountain of youth in a bottle? We see them lining the supermarket shelves and with advertisements of high ORAC scores but what does that really mean? ORAC is a way to measure antioxidants in food and it stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. Foods that have a higher ORAC score will more effectively neutralize free radical thus slowing down degeneration in the body.  Acai, Goji, Noni, Mangosteen, Muscadine and Lichi lead the pack of superfruits and are sold as the end all, be all of
antioxidants. Each of them have fantastic antioxidant qualities and have been proven to be beneficial to the body but are quite often over-hyped, over-priced and marketed with profits in the forefront and health in the background. Do your research and become a “label junkie” so you know how much of those superfruits are actually in the products you’re paying a premium for.

Next, let’s consider all the sport’s drinks, bottle waters and vitamin waters in the market today that claim you can hydrate your cells and replenish crucial antioxidants all at the same time. We couldn’t disagree more with either of those statements. First when it comes to proper hydration, bottle waters and sport’s drinks provide highly acidic, large structure water molecules. They do not hydrate the cells but instead, cause your body’s tissues to become extremely acidic leading to more dehydration than anything else. The synthetic chemicals and added flavorings do not provide any antioxidant benefit but instead more free radical damage throughout our cells. When you look at an ORP (Oxygen Reduction Potential)
chart like the one shown here, you can clearly see where these drinks falter. ORP will show the potential of a given liquid to reduce or increase oxidation. The more powerful the antioxidant in the liquid is then the lower the ORP level and likewise, as the liquid is more oxidizing then the ORP rises. When looking for negative ORP liquids, you will want to choose drinks such as green tea or best of all high alkaline, negative ORP structured water. As this trend is becoming more popular and you may notice bottled water claiming to be highly alkaline, our research has shown that the best quality product which produces this type of highly beneficial water is one that is truly a medical device with the proper research and certifications behind it.

ORP Chart

To clarify, our bodies need on a daily basis foods and liquids that have both high ORAC and negative ORP to maximize our antioxidant potential. The negative ORP water enhances the high ORAC foods and supplements you consume so the two together create a powerhouse of antioxidant benefits. If you consume only the negative ORP water without those crucial foods then your potential is greatly reduced.

Now that we have established what foods and liquids have high antioxidant qualities, we still know that trying to achieve the proper amounts daily is difficult even for the most dedicated health nut. That is why we have packed as many nutrients and high antioxidant whole foods into our Core Health Pack. We challenge you to find another six in one product that is as nutrient dense with whole food ingredients, high antioxidant nutrients, plant based minerals, broad spectrum digestive enzymes, pH stabilized probiotics and prebiotics.

Here is a brief overview of the different blends that make up the Core Health Pack:
(To find a more detailed description, click on the Up Close tab at the bottom of the CHP page)

Fruit Blend
Core Health’s proprietary fruit blend includes the world’s most concentrated natural sources of vitamin C and antioxidants including acerola cherry, camu camu, citrus bioflavanoids, and a proprietary blend of berries (VitaBerry Plus). The berries alone boast an ORAC value of 6000 ORAC units/gram and specific, guaranteed polyphenol levels in a well-rounded robust blend that sets a new industry standard.

Vegetable Blend
Core Health’s proprietary vegetable blend features a variety of nutrient-dense vegetables combined with the proprietary VitaVeggie™ blend. This blend is standardized for specific key nutrients known for their unique health benefits.\ Anthocyanins, lycopene, lutein, chlorogenic acid, beta-carotene, ellagic acid, quercetin, glucosinolate, sulphorophane and quinic acid are all found in VitaVeggie™ to ensure you get all the important nutrients nature intended from these vegetables.

Antioxidant Blend
Core Health Pack’s antioxidant blend provides powerful antioxidants from pine bark extract and mixed tocopherols, combined with the power of resveratrol and quercetin. Then ensures your body is able to produce its own powerful antioxidant enzyme (SOD) by including a patented Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) Precursor System.

We have taken every step to cross reference all of our ingredients so they work synergistically together for maximum utilization. For example, our SOD precursor system was designed in such a way to aid the body’s own natural processes to produce SOD. You can find SOD sold as a supplement in the health food store but due to its heavy molecular structure, it will not pass through the cell wall for proper utilization and will be excreted by the body causing you not only harm in the body but also to your wallet! SOD supplements can be sold for well over $100 a bottle. Another example of our uniquely designed product is the effect of our digestive enzymes aiding the body in producing glutathione, a vital antioxidant in the body for fighting free radicals and detoxifying harmful substances.  Glutathione can be found in many of those fresh, organic raw foods mentioned earlier and also in raw dairy, eggs and meat. We cook and process a good majority of those foods which in turn destroys the catalyst (enzymes) that enables for our bodies to extract glutathione. With supplementing digestive enzymes to those high antioxidant meals, our bodies can now break down all the micronutrients that are still viable in the cooked foods so we don’t miss out on every disease fighting component. The Core Health Pack provides not only all the high antioxidant foods but also the co-factors and co-enzyme (MEDS delivery system) to ensure
complete nutrient utilization.

Let’s recap:

  1. Eat a
rainbow of colors from fresh, organic raw foods.
  2. Drink
plenty of negative ORP high alkaline water.
  3. Reduce
your stress and highly oxidizing foods and liquids
  4. Supplement
with whole food, high antioxidant nutrient dense product that aids the body in
the production of its own natural, powerful antioxidants

Following these simple guidelines will help you to turn back the clock on aging!
